For many USC students, clubs and student organizations are one of the main ways to find friends with similar interests. But at a school as large as USC with hundreds of clubs of varying sizes, schedules and cultures, it can be hard to find the clubs you want without tons of trial and error. I want to make a website where students can search and filter through clubs to find the most important information. And unlike the USC RSO website, we can include information like reviews from current and past students, application information, major events and much more.
This a rough visual of the database organization. While I might add a few more lookup tables, I knew I wanted to include reviews, user ID, club types and application information. I also decided to attach reviews to each individual user, although I could make user IDs and reviews two separate lookups tables in the future.
